FACTS
1. I love corgis. Like, so much, you guys. Seriously.
2. Gay men on the internet seem fond of me. I'm not sure why.
3. I own somewhere slightly over 200 video games, and I think this might qualify as a "problem". Or as "being awesome".
4. No matter what anyone else says, I still think Tosh.0 is some funny shit. Maybe he does get all his material from reddit. Don't give a damn, I was gonna read reddit anyway.
5. I feel bad about not liking Neon Genesis Evangelion. Or Madoka Magica. Makes me feel like a poor troper.
6. Besides English, I can speak French. Not perfectly, but well enough. I can also speak, in descending levels of "pretty good"ness, Japanese, Italian, and German.
7. I hate milk. Cheese too. There are exceptions, granted, like Oreos and pizza, but on their own? Disgusting.
8. I seriously love heavy metal.
9. I really think phantom thief types in fiction are cool. Like Arsène Lupin and his grandson.
10. Related to the above, I took up lockpicking as a hobby last year. Not for criminal intent, it just makes me feel cool and it's fun to do.
11. Part of me, deep in my soul, has always wanted to make a splash on the world of manga. Like, seriously, to the point of going out and becoming a professional.
QUESTIONS
1. If you had the power to make the entire universe change according to your ideals and wants, would you? If so, what changes do you think you would make? Yeah, but I'd try not to abuse it (which, given my track record in some video games, would be difficult).
The very top change I would make is: no more guns for anyone, anywhere. No guns or bombs or grenades or anything of the sort. We still have the related technology, but not the weaponry. All warfare is returned to a state of medieval martial combat. It's a little grim, but that would make me happy.
2. Is there a fictional character in whom you can see a little of yourself? Explain in more detail if your answer is yes.
Too many, but I think that's the beauty of fiction- relatability. I guess the one foremost in my mind is Lupin III-- we're both horny, conniving, devious, and can rock a green suit.
3. Between familial love, romantic love and platonic friendship, which would you say is more important?
I don't place a whole lot of importance on familial love; romantic love is important, but you can't make it the point of your existence. It's not healthy. Given that, I'd say probably platonic friendship.
4. Would you consider yourself picky when it comes to choosing romantic partners? Are there any traits (physical or personality-wise) you fantasize about but could do without?
I do kinda have a type, but I tend to get crushes on people pretty easily, so I wouldn't say I'm picky, exactly. I definitely tend to gravitate towards dark-haired girls and gothy or metalhead types, just as a matter of preference, but I can pass on any of those traits if need be.
5. What's more important--a job that pays well or a job that's comfortable? Would you work an awful job for more money over an enjoyable job for less?
I think the question's a little too vague. I think I'd rather work an enjoyable job for less, since the entire point of working a bad job that pays more would be to keep me financially secure and help me finance my hobbies-- i.e., the stuff I really enjoy.
6. What are your thoughts on anime and manga in general? Do you think they tend to be overly saturated with annoying cliches?
They do have a lot of cliches. Objectively, they're probably played a little thin, but I dunno, I've gotten so damn entrenched in the manga/anime culture that I barely notice any more unless it's particularly egregious. Same as everything else, though, there's a lot of crap and some real gems here and there.
7. Would you be willing to stay friends with an ex, assuming the breakup didn't happen due to a bad fight?
Done it for every ex I've ever had.
8. If you were in a relationship with someone you loved but who wasn't perfect or ideal, would you leave them if someone who met all of your fantasy criteria entered into your life somehow?
I have no idea. I feel like I did that already, but who can say?
9. If you could only eat one dish for the rest of your life, what do you think it would be?
I refuse to contemplate this question. I like food too much to acknowledge it.
10. On a scale of prudish to promiscuous, how sexual would you say you are in general?
Is there a rating higher than "promiscuous"?
11. Do you believe that true friendships can be forged online, between people who have never met in person?
Absolutely. The woman I love more than anything in the world doesn't live in the same country as me, and the best friend I've ever had lives across the country from me.
